I grew up in Revere and Peabody; both of my parents worked in the real estate industry. I graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School and then went onto Merrimack College where I earned a BA in Psychology and met my husband Bob, who is originally from Gloucester. After we married, we moved to Reading and raised our two children. I am blessed to live near my daughter and grandchildren (they truly are the apples of my eye!). We have been living in town for almost 40 years. This community has earned a place in my heart, we have loved living here.
A licensed realtor since 1979, my first career was in banking. I started right after college and quickly became a Branch Manager and then a Branch Administrator with 19 offices under my supervision. The job proved a bit more than I wanted with small children. I needed more flexibility, and a career in Real Estate proved to be a perfect solution.
I represent both sellers and buyers. With such deep roots in the area, I can offer firsthand knowledge about neighborhoods, schools, economic development and evolution of the communities. In addition, I have a vast network of "peeps” to help my sellers showcase their homes to the fullest. Buyers who work with me can count on honesty, integrity and guidance based on my deep experience.
Over the years, I’ve been very involved with national and local realtor organizations, including a term as President of Eastern Middlesex Association of Realtors. I’ve served on committees and held executive positions at the state level, and had the honor of being chosen as the Realtor of the Year.
Buying or selling a home is one of life’s most meaningful milestones and I bring to the process experience, empathy, strong ethics and candor.I am deeply committed to my clients, offering the best representation to sellers and buyers.
To showcase our listed homes to their fullest, we include decorative staging and professional photography. We provide a multitude of advertising avenues, including extensive online exposure and direct mailings. I walk my buyers through every facet of the buying process from beginning to end, so there are no surprises.
When I am not marketing listings or scouting for homes to meet the needs of my buyers, I delight in actively supporting the community. You can find me volunteering, participating or sponsoring activities at Killam Elementary School, Mission of Deeds, Reading Gymnastics, Burbank YMCA, Merrimack College and Planet Fitness. I don’t just live in the area - I LOVE the area!
My other passion is Greyhounds. I support several Greyhound Rescue organizations throughout the state. For the past 20 years, one (or more) of these beautiful animals has been part of our family. Since Greyhound Racing is being outlawed in all states by 2020, I hope to use my network to help find loving homes for what will be an abundance of these dogs. Contrary to popular belief, they are perfect family pets. They don’t need to run, but need a neighborhood walk like any other dog.
